Below is work set by heads of department to bridge the gap between your GCSE and 6th form studies. For Sharnbrook Academy students, this will also be set in TEAMS - please work through the resources to ensure you are as well prepared for September as possible. English Literature - For this week you will be writing an assignment based on the pre 19th Century novel you have been reading. Choose the relevant assignment. The questions for Jane Eyre and Frankenstein are on the AQA exam paper pdf – scroll through to find them.


Film Studies


Below is some topical work that Mr Lovesey has set to extend and develop your wider reading in Geography. The booklet gives you some independent research and questions to get you linking Covid-19 to you’re A-level course. To be pushing for the higher grades you need to show that you can “think like a Geographer” and this means taking current news events and linking to what you are studying. Please take the time to go through this and develop your knowledge of something that is effecting us all.

Each lesson should take around 2 hours to complete – so the next two weeks (11th May through to the 22nd May) students are expected to complete lessons 6-11. A new task will be set for after half term – which will assess knowledge learnt to date.

Students need to complete lessons 1-11 to be able to do the assignment after half term.
