Student achievements this month - June 2019

Year 7 student Maddie Frisby recently took place in a national competition and won a place to play at the Black Deer Festival on Saturday 22nd June. The Americana and country festival organised a competition to allow emerging artists to play the Papermoon stage and to put their own singer/songwriter abilities to test. The winners had their single put on the ‘Black Deer Emerging Artist’ Spotify account.…


Chloe at the age of 13 has been selected for the English Youth Ballet company. She had been moved up from the junior to the senior section for a distinguished performance at the audition yesterday. Her family are beyond proud as are we!


Will Heron will be representing Team England at the Dance World Cup in Portugal this week, competing against teams from 65 other countries. He gained automatic selection after being assessed by three international judges in the qualifiers and will be competing a classical ballet solo on Friday 5th July. The annual event is the largest dance competition in the world and will take place in Braga, Portugal between 28 June and 6 July. The competition will be live streamed and you can follow it on

A reminder for parents/carers of students joining us in year 7 in September 2019: you are invited to attend a parents’ information evening on Thursday 4th July commencing at 7:00pm in the main hall. This is an evening for parents only, please, as space is limited in the hall. We trust that you will be able to join us to find out more about the school.
