16 - 19 Bursary Fund 

The Fund is made available from the government through its funding body the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for 16-19 year olds in education or training to provide assistance to students whose access to, or completion of, education is inhibited by financial constraints or barriers. The funding is intended to help students to meet the cost of travel, books and equipment or other expenses. Half termly amounts will be paid to students direct.

The Harpur Trust Bursary Scheme 

The Harpur Trust Bursary Scheme aims to help students who are resident in the local authority area covered by Bedford Borough Council and attend participating schools in the Borough. The bursaries will support young people studying for full time undergraduate degrees or full time Foundation degrees at the UK university of their choice. The Trust will provide students with a bursary of £1,200 per year for up to three years. 

 

Kathleen & Michael Connolly Foundation Award 

Awards of up to £1,000 will be available to applicants from The Connolly Foundation’s (“CF”) six partner schools studying at A level in the following core academic subjects: - English Language, English Literature, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, history, geography, economics, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian, physical education/sports science (A level/BTEC) 

 

Celia Hanbury Memorial Bursary 

The Celia Hanbury Memorial Bursary aims to help students whose family income is £30,000 (gross) or below. The recipients must have been s Sharnbrook student continuously since the beginning of year 12 minimum. The bursary award can be up to £3,000 per year until the end of your course.
