Teacher of Mathematics

Required from September 2010 (an earlier start date may be available)

This is a terrific opportunity for an innovative teacher to join our forward-looking and successful Maths Department.
In 2009, 73% of students achieved A*-C grades at GCSE. Maths and Further Maths A levels are highly popular choices.
The Department is well resourced and committed to developing its vision whereby all students fulfill their potential.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and NQTs, and there is the possibility of A level teaching for the right candidate. If you have energy and a passion for your subject then we would like to hear from you. The person appointed will join a supportive and successful team of staff housed in its own suite of rooms and including ICT provision and a resource base.

Teacher of Art required for September 2010

A versatile and creative teacher, specialising in Fine Art practice is required to join our highly successful and thriving art department. Art and Design celebrates exam achievement well above the national average in both GCSE and A level. Our well-established purpose-built department has an excellent profile within the school and wider community. We pride ourselves in our students’ high standards of drawing and painting together with individualised, learning. The excellent facilities support development in photography, graphics and fine art. The successful candidate would join a team of three, highly motivated specialist teachers, to support and develop both two and three-dimensional practice within the full age range. Some knowledge in Photoshop would be beneficial. We would encourage teachers of all ranges of experience to apply, including newly qualified teachers.

Teacher of Geography required for September 2010
Required from September 2010

A dynamic and creative teacher of geography is required to join a very strong department of 5 specialist geographers.  Geography achieves considerable success at GCSE (14 groups) and AS/A2 level (6 groups). Fieldwork, both in the UK and overseas is an important feature of all courses.

The department has a reputation for innovative practice with staff involved in initiatives at local and national levels and internationally.  It is active in both the Geographical Association and Royal Geographical Society.  The department has its own dedicated suite of rooms including ICT facilities.

We would like to hear from you if you are a good team player with energy and a passion for your subject. Applications are welcomed from both NQTs and experienced teachers.  There will be opportunities to teach across the full range of courses including A level.

Partnership Development Manager

Full time fixed term contract until July 2011 (with possibility for extended funding)
Salary: £28,000 to £34,000

As an ‘OUTSTANDING’ school we are seeking to appoint a highly skilled committed physical education and sport enthusiast with a teaching OR sports development background to join our forward-looking and innovative School Sports Partnership,
This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated and motivated sport professional to have a key role in supporting schools to meet the Government’s Public Service Target.  You will be based at Sharnbrook Upper School and will manage a partnership of 1 Upper School, 3 Middle schools and 15 lowers schools.  The post-holder will also facilitate links with key strategic partners including the Local Authority, Youth Sport Trust, LDA and County Sports Partnership.
Applications are sought from subject specialists with a real commitment to developing curricular and out of school hours, community based learning opportunities for young people and someone who has a sound knowledge of physical education and school sport across all key stages
You will also have excellent leadership skills, will understand the concept of learning through PE and sport, and will have proven experience of project or programme management.
